Georgia Election Case Dismissed

A prosecutor in Georgia has dismissed the 2020 election interference case that involved former President Donald Trump.

Pete Skandalakis, the prosecutor overseeing the case, filed a motion to dismiss the charges. The case had initially alleged that Mr. Trump and others sought to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

This state-level prosecution represented the final criminal legal case against the former U.S. President connected to the 2020 election.

The charges were originally filed by District Attorney Fani Willis. Ms. Willis was subsequently removed from the case by the state's supreme court due to issues related to her conduct in the proceedings.
