Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that few details remain before Kyiv accepts a U.S.-backed peace plan designed to end the conflict with Russia.
The initial version of the agreement was drafted last month by the U.S. special envoy and Russia's foreign policy advisor. This plan has subsequently been revised to incorporate input from Ukraine and European countries.
Olga Stefanishyna, Ukraine's Ambassador to the U.S., engaged in discussions regarding the negotiations. She articulated Ukraine's position that any peace plan must include provisions to prevent future Russian aggression.
