David Chokachi Returns for Fox's 'Baywatch' Reboot

David Chokachi, who played Cody Madison in the original "Baywatch" series, will reprise his role in Fox's upcoming "Baywatch" reboot.

In the new series, Cody Madison will operate "The Shoreline," a Baywatch-themed bar and grill, and continue to serve as a lifeguard. He is depicted as a mentor and friend to fellow lifeguards.

Chokachi joins Stephen Amell, who was previously cast as Hobie Buchannon, the son of Mitch Buchannon from the original series.

Fox ordered a 12-episode series for the reboot in September, with Matt Nix as the showrunner.

Chokachi was a series regular on the original "Baywatch" for four seasons, beginning in Season 6. His prior television credits include "Witchblade" and "Beyond the Break."
