Actor Bobby J. Brown, Known for 'The Wire,' Dies at 62

Actor Bobby J. Brown, known for his role as Officer Bobby Brown on the HBO series "The Wire," died at 62 years old. His daughter confirmed his death occurred on Tuesday.

The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the cause of death as diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation, determining the manner of death to be an accident.

The fire originated after Brown entered a barn to jump-start a vehicle. He later contacted a family member requesting a fire extinguisher.

By the time family members arrived, the barn was engulfed in flames.

Brown's acting career also included roles in "Law & Order: SVU" and "We Own This City."
