Vivo X300 Ultra Debuts Globally at MWC

Vivo showcased its upcoming flagship smartphone, the X300 Ultra, at Mobile World Congress (MWC). The company confirmed that this model will be the first Vivo Ultra series phone available for sale outside China.

The X300 Ultra marks a significant step for Vivo, being the first Ultra series phone available for sale outside China, poised to appeal to professional photographers and videographers globally.

Camera Specifications and Accessories

The X300 Ultra is equipped with a 200-megapixel telephoto camera. An optional accessory, the new Telephoto Extender Gen2 Ultra, was also introduced. Co-engineered with Zeiss, this lens provides a 400mm equivalent focal length, a substantial upgrade from the previous 200mm equivalent.

A redesigned camera grip case will accompany the phone, featuring rearranged physical buttons. Notably, it no longer includes a cutout for a touch-sensitive shutter button, indicating its removal from the phone itself.

Professional Camera Cage

Vivo further announced a "pro-grade" camera cage, developed in collaboration with phone photography accessory manufacturer SmallRig. This accessory is designed with an array of cold shoe mounts, quick-release ports, physical buttons for shutter and zoom controls, and a dedicated cooling fan for extended video shoots.

This comprehensive accessory aims to position the X300 Ultra as a tool for professional photographers and videographers.

Market Availability

Vivo has slated the X300 Ultra for a release in global markets later this year. Company executives have stated that European markets are expected to be included in this release.
