Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks Execute Multi-Player Deal
The Edmonton Oilers acquired forwards Jason Dickinson, Andrew Mangiapane, Colton Dach, and a top-12 protected 2027 1st-round pick from the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks retained 50% of Dickinson's $4.25 million cap hit.
Jason Dickinson is a 30-year-old center. Colton Dach is a 23-year-old forward. Andrew Mangiapane's contract includes cap commitments through the 2026-27 season.
Following this trade, the Blackhawks now hold multiple first-round picks in 2026 and 2027, in addition to several second-round picks in those years.
Utah Mammoth and Calgary Flames Complete Defensive Swap
The Utah Mammoth acquired defenseman MacKenzie Weegar from the Calgary Flames.
In exchange, the Flames received defenseman Olli Maatta, forward Jonathan Castagna, and three 2026 second-round picks.
MacKenzie Weegar, a 32-year-old defenseman, is currently in the third year of an eight-year contract valued at $6.25 million annually. Olli Maatta is a defenseman, and Jonathan Castagna is a forward prospect.
With this acquisition, the Mammoth now have three defensemen under team control for multiple years: Weegar, Mikhail Sergachev, and Dmitri Simashev.
The Flames now possess multiple 2026 second-round picks following the transaction.
Dallas Stars Acquire Veteran Defenseman Tyler Myers
The Dallas Stars acquired defenseman Tyler Myers from the Vancouver Canucks.
In return, the Canucks received a 2027 2nd-round pick and a 2029 4th-round pick.
The Canucks retained 50% of Myers' $3 million cap hit, reducing his cap commitment to $1.5 million for the current and next season.
Tyler Myers is a 36-year-old right-handed defenseman. Myers is expected to join the Stars' defensive pairings.
