Chloe Kelly Honored with Barbie Doll for International Women's Day

Chloe Kelly, an Arsenal and England forward, has been honored with a Barbie doll as part of a special series marking International Women's Day. The recognition highlights her impact both on and off the pitch.

Joining the 'Barbie Dream Team'

Kelly, alongside 23-time Grand Slam tennis champion Serena Williams and India cricketer Smriti Mandhana, are included in Mattel's first-ever "Barbie Dream Team." This exclusive group acknowledges pioneering women across various fields.

Mattel stated that this team "honours women who led the way in their industries."

Kelly's Pride in Role Model Status

Kelly, 28, commented on the significance of being a Barbie role model. She expressed pride in having her own one-of-a-kind doll and viewed it as a major achievement, extending beyond her on-pitch successes.

A Decorated Career

Kelly's sporting achievements are substantial. She was a key member of the England squads that won the past two European Championships. Notably, she scored the extra-time winner in the 2022 final against Germany and the winning penalty in a shootout against Spain in 2023. Kelly was also part of the England team that reached the 2023 Women's World Cup final and the Arsenal team that won last season's Women's Champions League.
