Ye Testifies in Contractor Lawsuit

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, testified as a defendant in a trial regarding a dispute with a contractor over his former Malibu mansion. During his testimony, Ye reportedly appeared drowsy and frequently stated, "I don't recall," in response to questions.

Journalists present in the courtroom reported that Ye seemed to close his eyes for extended periods, yawned repeatedly, and at times appeared to doze off on the witness stand.

Ron Zambrano, the attorney for plaintiff Tony Saxon, was observed questioning if Ye was asleep.

Testimony Highlights

Ye's testimony provided limited new information, often consisting of "yes," "no," or "I don't recall" answers. However, he did recall one specific detail: being asked if he remembered Mr. Saxon having a bad body odor, to which Ye responded, "Yes." This was in contrast to his inability to recall other events like taking Saxon to McDonald's, a hardware store, or assisting him with a car issue.

Ye also requested that the attorney address him simply as "Ye," stating it is his legal name.

Property Design Clarifications

Regarding the Malibu property, Ye clarified some of his alleged design requests:

  • He stated he only wanted one staircase converted into a slide, not all of them.
  • He confirmed wanting plumbing in the building but indicated it would be a "different system," countering an assertion that he wanted all plumbing removed to make the building completely "off the grid."

Wife Bianca Censori's Testimony

Ye's testimony followed that of his wife, Bianca Censori, who also testified on Thursday. Censori stated she could "not recall" many details but provided some lengthier answers than Ye. She maintained that Saxon had misrepresented his credentials, which is a key component of Ye's defense.

Saxon, however, testified he informed Ye he was "just a guy with a minivan, not a licensed contractor."

Censori confirmed that she was involved in design and architecture for Ye's organization and that Kim Kardashian was reportedly displeased when an employee mistook Censori for Kardashian during a visit to the house.
