Trump Reacts to Iranian Apology, Labels Iran 'Loser of the Middle East'

President Donald Trump has issued statements regarding Iran after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reportedly apologized to neighboring nations and committed to ceasing attacks unless first targeted.

In a post on Truth Social, Mr. Trump referred to Iran as the "loser of the Middle East." He stated that this status would persist for decades, either "until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse."

"Iran is the loser of the Middle East, and will be for decades to come, either until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse."

Context: Iran's Regional Attacks and Apology

The Iranian President's apology followed Operation Epic Fury, an event where Iran conducted retaliatory missile and drone attacks against at least 12 countries in the region. This widespread assault led some Arab states to indicate a strengthened military posture and consider potential military action against Iran.

Trump's Claims: U.S. and Israeli Influence, Iran's Ambitions

Mr. Trump claimed that Iran's pledge to cease attacks was made due to "relentless U.S. and Israeli attack." He further stated that Iran was "looking to take over and rule the Middle East."

He also asserted that this marked "the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries," and claimed Iran expressed gratitude towards him.

Reiteration: Iran's Status as 'The Loser'

Mr. Trump concluded his statement by reiterating his strong assertion:

"Iran is now THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST and will remain so for an extended period."
