A group of Conservative Anglicans has decided not to proceed with their plans to elect a rival leader who would hold the same title as the Archbishop of Canterbury.
This group had previously indicated an intention to choose a new leader with a title mirroring that of Sarah Mullally, who is recognized as the first female head of the Church.
