Princess Eugenie concludes a seven-year patronage with Anti-Slavery International amid scrutiny of her separate charity, The Anti-Slavery Collective.
Charity Patronage Conclusion
The decision was confirmed by The Observer, just days after The Anti-Slavery Collective, a separate charity co-founded by Princess Eugenie, became subject to scrutiny regarding its finances.
Anti-Slavery International, established in 1839, focuses on policy change, research, and direct field projects. The charity released a statement acknowledging the end of the patronage, thanking Princess Eugenie for her support and expressing hope for her continued efforts against slavery.
The Anti-Slavery Collective Under Investigation
Princess Eugenie remains a co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective, an organization she established in 2017 with Julia de Boinville. This collective aims to raise awareness about modern slavery through networking and sharing survivor stories.
The Charity Commission is currently investigating The Anti-Slavery Collective. The scrutiny follows the charity's financial reporting for the year ending April 5, 2025. During this period, the charity reported spending £191,537 on salaries, which was more than double its expenditure on charitable programs, totaling £97,206.
