India Defeats New Zealand by 96 Runs to Win T20 World Cup Final

India has secured a 96-run victory over the Black Caps in the T20 World Cup final held in Ahmedabad.

This marks India's second consecutive men's T20 World Cup title, a historic first for any team, and also represents their largest winning margin in a T20 World Cup match.

India's Dominant Batting Display

Batting first, India posted a total of 255 for 5. Key contributions came from Sanju Samson, who top-scored with 89 runs, alongside half-centuries from openers Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan.

Black Caps' Chase Falls Short

In response, New Zealand was bowled out for 159. Opener Tim Seifert scored a half-century, and captain Mitchell Santner contributed 43 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah was India's top bowler, taking four wickets. For the Black Caps, Jimmy Neesham was the most effective bowler with three wickets.

Road to the Final

New Zealand had advanced to the final by defeating South Africa, while India secured their spot by beating England in the semi-finals.
