Two Overnight Shootings in Sydney Hospitalize Two; Incidents Unlinked

Lalor Park Shooting
The first incident occurred just before 8:45 PM on Northcott Road in Lalor Park. Multiple shots were fired from a residence, striking a 29-year-old man on the street.
The victim received treatment at the scene for a gunshot injury before being transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with this shooting in the early hours of the morning from a house on the same street. He is currently being questioned at Riverstone Police Station.
Bass Hill Shooting
Approximately one hour later, a second shooting took place on Arundle Road in Bass Hill. A 25-year-old man was shot during this incident.
The victim transported himself to Liverpool Hospital, where he is being treated for injuries to his leg, arm, and chest. He is reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
A burnt-out vehicle discovered on Rex Road in Georges Hall is believed by police to be connected to the Bass Hill shooting.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are continuing to investigate both incidents. Police are appealing to the public for any information or dashcam footage that could assist their inquiries.
