Trump Administration's Public Relations Tactics
A Wall Street Journal analysis has revealed that the Trump administration utilized an "aggressive public-relations tactic" against opponents of its mass deportation operation. The Journal's review encompassed over 100,000 posts from 66 government and senior official accounts on X (formerly Twitter).
From this extensive review, the analysis identified 1,456 posts where the government alleged assault, impediment, attack, or conspiracy against a federal officer.
Out of 279 individuals accused by officials on X of attacking federal officers in the past year, 181 were U.S. citizens.
Nearly half of these Americans were never charged with assault, and none have been convicted at trial.
Ten individuals ultimately pleaded guilty to lesser charges. Tragically, two accused individuals, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, were fatally shot by federal agents.
