Tyler Linderbaum Becomes Highest-Paid NFL Center, Joins Raiders
Tyler Linderbaum, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens, has signed a contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. The agreement, reported by NFL insider Adam Schefter on Monday, establishes Linderbaum as the highest-paid center in the NFL.
Linderbaum's Record-Setting Deal
Linderbaum's contract is valued at $27 million per year. This figure exceeds the previous record held by Creed Humphrey, whose four-year, $96 million deal paid $19 million annually. Linderbaum's new annual salary is approximately 42% higher than Humphrey's previous benchmark.
Seahawks Out of the Running
The Seattle Seahawks had reportedly expressed interest in Linderbaum as a potential addition to their offensive line. However, the financial terms of Linderbaum's new contract indicate that the Seahawks, known for developing their offensive line internally, were not positioned to pursue him at this market level.
