Murder Charge After Fatal Gold Coast Stabbing

A 54-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing incident inside a Gold Coast home.

Police responded to a property in McCrae Court in Maudsland at approximately 6:40 PM yesterday.

Upon arrival, emergency services located a 34-year-old man who had sustained multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 54-year-old man from Maudsland was arrested at the location and subsequently charged with one count of domestic violence-related murder. The individuals were known to each other.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court later today. Police have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
