Balmoral Beach Baths Closed After Shark Sightings

Two sharks were reportedly sighted swimming within the netted area of Balmoral Beach in Mosman, Sydney.

As a result, the baths at the beach were closed as a precautionary measure. A Mosman council spokesperson confirmed that a diver is inspecting the area for sharks. Warning signs have been erected on the shore, and barricades have been placed in front of the baths to inform the public.

Routine maintenance of the nets in the area was carried out last month. Further inspections of the nets are planned once the water quality improves, as it is currently murky.
