Improving rail connectivity between Canberra and Sydney has been identified as a priority for investment over the next two to four years.
This initiative is designed to eventually integrate with a proposed high-speed rail network that would connect Brisbane to Melbourne. The initial phase of this broader network, specifically the Newcastle to Sydney project, is scheduled to commence construction in 2028.
