Maxx Crosby Trade Report Denied by Agent

An agent for NFL player Maxx Crosby, C.J. LaBoy, has denied a recent report concerning a proposed trade involving Crosby and a new contract offer from the Baltimore Ravens.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic had reported that the Ravens were prepared to sign Crosby to a revised contract "near the top of the pass rusher market" as part of a potential trade.

LaBoy responded directly to this report, stating, "Fake news."

Crosby's current contract details include four years at $116 million, averaging $29 million annually. This figure currently places him below the top tier of the pass rusher market.

The current top of the pass rusher market ranges from $40 million to $46.5 million annually. Following the denial, the specific financial interpretation of "near the top" as reported by Russini remained unclarified.

Recent comparable contracts in the league include Danielle Hunter's one-year extension, which features a new-money average annual value (APY) of $40.1 million.
