The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) temporarily closed the security checkpoint in Terminal C at Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday.

TSA personnel from Terminal C were redirected to other terminal checkpoints. This measure was taken to enhance processing efficiency across the airport.

Impact on Travelers

While the Terminal C PreCheck lane is closed, TSA PreCheck lanes remain operational in Terminal A East, Terminal D, and Terminal E. Regular TSA lanes in all other terminals continue to be open for passengers.

Increased wait times at security checkpoints have been reported, attributed to the partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees the TSA.

Passengers should note that those who have cleared a security checkpoint can access other terminals without needing to exit and re-enter security.
