Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Breaks Wilt Chamberlain's Scoring Streak Record

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has broken Wilt Chamberlain’s record for consecutive games with 20 points or more, extending his streak to 127 games on Thursday night.

During this remarkable streak, the Thunder have compiled an impressive 103-24 record. Gilgeous-Alexander showcased his consistent brilliance, achieving 35 points and nine assists in the Thunder’s thrilling 104-102 victory over the Boston Celtics.

"The streak is the streak, the awards are the awards. But the thing I’m most proud of is winning."

Gilgeous-Alexander reached 19 points with two crucial free throws in the third quarter. He then solidified his place in history by scoring his 21st point of the game with a jumper from beyond the free-throw line over Baylor Scheierman, with 7:04 remaining in the period. He later indicated that he became aware he was close to the record by listening to the crowd's reaction.
