Carlton Victorian Terraces Fetch $1.7 Million at Auction
A property consisting of two Victorian terraces in Melbourne's inner north was sold for $1,705,000 at auction on Saturday. Four parties participated in the bidding.
The four-bedroom property, located at 115–117 Kay Street, Carlton, had a price guide of $1.5 million to $1.6 million and a reserve price of $1.35 million.
Homes Victoria was the seller of the property, which includes two adjoining Victorian workers' cottages on a single title.
This sale occurred during a week when 1324 properties were scheduled for auction in Melbourne. The Domain Group reported a preliminary auction clearance rate of 61 percent from 964 results. A total of 123 auctions were withdrawn, which are counted as unsold properties in clearance rate calculations.
