Prince William Shares Unseen Photograph of Princess Diana in Mother's Day Tribute

Prince William honored his late mother, Princess Diana, on Mother's Day by sharing a photograph from the family's private collection. The image, previously unseen, offered a poignant glimpse into their past.

A Personal Glimpse from Highgrove

The photograph depicts Diana with a two-year-old William in 1984, seated in a field of wildflowers at Highgrove, Gloucestershire. This intimate moment was shared on William's Instagram post as a special tribute.

William's accompanying message conveyed a heartfelt sentiment:

"Remembering my mother, today and every day. Thinking of all those who are remembering someone they love today. Happy Mother's Day. W"

Remembering Princess Diana

Princess Diana tragically died at the age of 36 in 1997. She would have celebrated her 65th birthday on July 1 of the current year. At the time of her death, her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, were 15 and 12 years old, respectively. Both princes have previously spoken about the profound effects of losing their mother at a young age.

Wider Royal Family Tributes

The Royal Family's official X account also shared a Mother's Day message, accompanied by a selection of photographs. The caption offered a thoughtful message: "Wishing Mothers everywhere, and those who might be missing their Mums today, a restful Mothering Sunday".

Among the images shared was a black and white photograph from 1953, showing the late Queen Elizabeth II with King Charles and Princess Anne at Balmoral, Scotland. Additional photos included the late Queen Elizabeth II with the Queen Mother, and Camilla with her late mother, Rosalind Shand.
