Errol Gulden Sidelined for Four Months Following Shoulder Surgery

Sydney Swans player Errol Gulden is scheduled to undergo surgery for a dislocated shoulder later this week. The expected recovery timeline will sideline him for approximately four months.

Gulden sustained the injury during a game against Brisbane on Saturday.

This marks the second consecutive year Gulden has experienced a significant injury, having previously missed part of the 2025 season due to an ankle injury.

In the same match, teammate Isaac Heeney also sustained a hamstring injury; the severity of his injury is yet to be determined.

Mattaes Phillipou's $1 Million Annual Contract Extension Revealed

St Kilda midfielder Mattaes Phillipou's two-year contract extension, signed last season for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, reportedly involves an annual salary of approximately $1 million.

Phillipou's extended deal, spanning the 2027 and 2028 seasons, is reportedly valued at roughly $1 million annually.

Phillipou, who was the No. 10 draft pick in 2022, has played 44 games across his first three years in the league. He recently sustained a corked quad during St Kilda's game against Melbourne.
