Initial reports of the GCAA announcement, made at 3:14 AM on March 17, were followed by observations that flights continued to operate at Abu Dhabi and Dubai International Airports by 4:00 AM local time. By 10:00 AM Dubai time, it was understood that the airspace closure was temporary.
