Mexico City Sets New Guinness World Record for Largest Football Lesson

Mexico City's Zocalo square hosted a Guinness World Records event on Sunday, establishing a new record for the largest football lesson.

Approximately 9,500 individuals participated in football drills, led by instructors, utilizing the main square as an open-air training ground.

Organizers stated that the attendance exceeded the previous record of over 1,000 participants, which was set in Seattle in June 2025. This record attempt occurs as Mexico prepares to host the opening match of the FIFA World Cup in June.
