IDF Warns Southern Lebanon Civilians Amid Escalation

The IDF Arabic Spokesperson, Colonel Avichay Adraee, issued a warning to civilians in southern Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon, detailing an escalation in military operations.

Operational Update

Adraee stated that there is a significant escalation in operational activity. The objective of this activity is to disrupt Hezbollah's supply lines.

Planned Strikes

Beginning Wednesday afternoon, the Israeli Air Force and other forces will conduct targeted strikes on crossings and bridges over the Litani River.

Justification for Action

Adraee explained that these extensive and precise strikes are a response to Hezbollah's activities and the movement of what were described as "terrorist elements" into southern Lebanon, reportedly using civilian populations for cover. The stated goal of the strikes is to prevent the transfer of reinforcements and weapons.

Safety Advisory

The message advised civilians to move to areas north of the Zahrani River and to avoid any movement southward for their safety, as such movement could pose risks.
