According to Hansen, the precise allocation of China's daily imported energy remains ambiguous. It is currently unclear how much of this energy is used immediately upon arrival, and how much is being directed into the nation's strategic oil reserves.
Despite this ambiguity, Hansen stated that the substantial volume of imported energy serves as a significant buffer during periods of disruption.
