Vaccine Booking Strain Reported by National Pharmacy Association
Oliver Picard, chairman of the National Pharmacy Association, informed BBC Radio 5 Live about the current operational challenges faced by pharmacies. According to Picard, his pharmacies were receiving a booking for a vaccine every two to three minutes, with over 100 bookings made overnight.
Picard described the situation as unsustainable, citing a lack of vaccine supply.
He stated that the small stock typically maintained by pharmacies had been depleted rapidly, exacerbating the operational challenges.
