Galaxy S26 Series Gains Native USB Webcam Mode
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series now supports a native USB webcam mode. This functionality allows users to connect their smartphone to a computer via a USB cable and utilize its camera as a webcam.
A High Quality Mode is also available for enhanced image output.
Google initially introduced this native Android webcam mode with Android 14 QPR1 for Pixel phones. The feature provides a wired solution, which is considered more straightforward and adaptable compared to Samsung's previous Camera Sharing options between Galaxy mobile devices.
It is currently uncertain whether Samsung plans to extend this USB webcam support to older Galaxy phone models through future software updates.
