South Australia is set to compete against Victoria in the final match of this season's Sheffield Shield.
South Australia previously won the Shield last summer, ending a 29-year drought with a victory over Queensland.
Victoria has demonstrated strong performance in the 2025-26 campaign, finishing 16 points clear of South Australia, who secured their place in the final during the last regular season round. Victoria has recorded only two losses this season, both against Queensland in November and February.
Victorian captain Will Sutherland won the coin toss at the Junction Oval on Thursday morning and chose to bowl first.
