Samsung Browser Officially Launches on Windows with Enhanced Continuity and AI

Samsung Browser has officially launched on Windows, moving past its beta phase to bring new features to desktop users. This release aims to bridge the gap between mobile and desktop browsing, particularly for Samsung Galaxy users.

The browser facilitates seamless browsing continuity, enabling users to resume viewing the exact webpage on their PC that was open on their Galaxy phone.

Seamless Ecosystem Integration

The core of Samsung Browser's appeal lies in its ability to offer seamless browsing continuity between Galaxy phones and Windows PCs. Users can effortlessly pick up where they left off, viewing the precise webpage previously open on their mobile device directly on their PC.

This functionality relies on Samsung's ecosystem tools, including Samsung Account and its continuity services, which must be installed on the PC. Currently, these services are available for the Galaxy Book 3, 4, 5, and 6 series, with Samsung planning to extend availability to a wider range of devices in the future.

Samsung Pass for Secure Autofill

Samsung Pass integration is a key inclusion, providing convenient autofill capabilities for saved credentials and personal data across devices on the PC. This streamlines the login process and secure form filling for users.

Agentic AI Features Powered by Perplexity

The browser also introduces new agentic AI features, developed in partnership with Perplexity. These intelligent capabilities are designed to process and understand content both on the screen and across multiple open tabs, offering a more intuitive browsing experience.

Examples of these advanced AI capabilities include:

  • Generating itineraries based on content displayed on the current webpage.
  • Directly navigating to specific sections within lengthy videos, saving users time.
  • Searching browsing history using natural language, making it easier to find past visited sites.
  • Comparing products across multiple open tabs, streamlining shopping and research.

Currently, these agentic AI features are limited to select regions, including South Korea and the US, with a broader global rollout anticipated later.

Availability and Ecosystem Dependency

Samsung Browser for Windows is now rolling out to devices running Windows 10 (version 1809 and above) and Windows 11. It's important to note that while the browser is widely available, the full user experience of Samsung ecosystem features remains primarily tied to Galaxy hardware, ensuring the deepest integration for Samsung device owners.
