A Mexican Navy aircraft crashed near Galveston, Texas, on Monday, resulting in five fatalities.
The incident occurred amidst foggy conditions while the plane was conducting a medical transport mission. The aircraft was carrying a child burns victim on behalf of the Michou y Mau Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing care for Mexican children with severe burns.
According to flight tracking website Flight Radar, the last recorded location of the aircraft was at 15:01 local time (21:01 GMT) over Galveston Bay, near Scholes International Airport.
Mexico's Secretariat of the Navy reported that two individuals survived the crash and were rescued, while one person remains missing.
