Google has implemented price increases for its YouTube Premium subscription plans in the United States. The new pricing is now in effect for new subscribers, and existing subscribers are being notified of changes scheduled to take effect during their June 2026 billing period.
New Pricing Structure
The updated monthly subscription rates for US customers are as follows:
- Individual Plan: $15.99 per month (previously $13.99)
- Family Plan: $26.99 per month (previously $22.99)
- Lite Plan: $8.99 per month (previously $7.99)
- Music Premium Plan: $11.99 per month (previously $10.99)
An annual payment option is available for the Individual plan at a cost of $159.99, which represents a lower cost compared to the monthly rate.

The new pricing is active immediately for new subscribers. Existing subscribers are reportedly being notified of the change via email. According to notifications cited in multiple reports, the increase for existing subscribers is scheduled to take effect on their billing date during June 2026, with one email citing June 7, 2026, as the effective date.
Communication from the company states that the increase is intended to support service improvements and content creators.
