Noscroll Launches AI News Digest Service to Curb Doomscrolling

A former OpenSea CTO has built an AI agent that browses the web for you, sending curated news digests via text message to help you stay informed without the endless scroll.

How It Works

Users text a number to connect their X (formerly Twitter) account, granting the AI access to their likes, bookmarks, and followed accounts. The service uses custom-prompted off-the-shelf AI models running on proprietary infrastructure to generate digests with a unique voice.

Personalized Curation

Users can specify topics of interest and desired update frequency—from weekly to multiple times daily. The AI pulls from a wide range of sources, including:

  • X (Twitter)
  • News sites and blogs
  • Reddit and Hacker News
  • Substack and research papers
  • Local politics

Users can also recommend specific sources for the AI to monitor.

The Digest Experience

Digests consist of news links with brief AI summaries. Users can tap links to read full articles, reply to ask questions, or add the bot to group chats or Telegram groups. The service also sends immediate alerts for breaking news.

"I wanted a way to stay informed on X without the platform's negative cultural aspects," said founder Nadav Hollander.

Pricing and Availability

The service costs $9.99 per month after a seven-day free trial that includes a sample digest. Variable pricing may be tested in the future.

Real-World Use Cases

Noscroll has found traction across diverse applications:

  • Tracking tech news
  • Niche anime industry updates
  • Local restaurant openings in Kyoto
  • Job listings and layoff tracking
  • Local politics for journalists

Background

Nadav Hollander, former CTO at OpenSea, built Noscroll with open-source developer @z0age. The service has seen fast adoption and attracted investor interest, though the founders have not decided on next steps.
