Square Enix unleashed Patch 7.5: Trail to the Heavens for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online on 28 April 2026, alongside major news for the game’s future.
The update introduces a wealth of new content, including main scenario quests, a new dungeon (The Clyteum), an alliance raid (Windurst: The Third Walk), and a trial (Enuo) available in both normal and extreme difficulties. A new unreal trial, Shinryu’s Domain, has also been added.
PvP enthusiasts will find a new arena, Archeia Harmonia, while Duty Support has been expanded to include The Dusk Vigil and Shisui of the Violet Tides. The patch also features Ocean Fishing updates, Housing updates, and an increase in Armoire storage. The Free Trial now includes all Shadowbringers expansion content through Patch 5.58.
Looking Ahead: The 7.5x Series
The patch notes also outline a series of updates planned for the 7.5x series:
- Patch 7.51: Cosmic Exploration (new planet Auxsia), new custom deliveries (Tiisol Ja), and an ultimate raid.
- Patch 7.55: Allied Society capstone quests, an Occult Crescent update, new Hildibrand adventures, and Phantom Weapon updates.
- Patch 7.56: A new limited job: Beastmaster.
The Next Expansion: Evercold
The next expansion, titled Evercold, was officially announced on 24 April 2026 at Fan Festival 2026. It will continue the story with a new arc, the Godless Realms Saga.
