Noah Kahan Expands The Great Divide With Surprise Deluxe Edition

Just 24 hours after releasing his fourth studio album, Noah Kahan has dropped an extended edition titled 'The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs'.

The expanded version adds four new tracks to the record, bringing the total tracklist to 21 songs. Notably, the new material is not appended to the end of the album but is interspersed throughout the original sequence.

Track Placement Highlights

  • 'Lighthouse' lands at position 5, placed between 'Downfall' and 'Paid Time Off'.
  • 'Staying Still' follows 'Paid Time Off' and precedes the title track.
  • 'A Few of Our Own' and 'Orbiter' close out the album at positions 19 and 20, respectively.

Album Context
The Great Divide is the follow-up to Kahan’s breakthrough album Stick Season. It was announced in late January 2026, and the music video for the title track premiered during a commercial break of the 2026 Grammy Awards.

On the Creative Process
In a statement, Kahan described the making of the album as "the collision of fear and pressure and joy and luck and total love." He credited guidance from "calm voices," "the stillness of my home state," his band, producers, team, wife, family, and fans.

Background
Earlier this month, Netflix released a documentary titled 'Noah Kahan: Out of Body', directed by Nick Sweeney. The film follows Kahan as he prepares to make The Great Divide.
