Khanna Blasts King Charles for Failing to Name Epstein Survivors

Washington, DC – Democratic Representative Ro Khanna publicly criticized King Charles III on April 14 for failing to directly mention Jeffrey Epstein survivors during a speech at the National Press Club.

"The lack of direct acknowledgment shows a lack of introspection and accountability."

According to Khanna, the British ambassador, Christian Turner, had privately indicated to him that the King would address the survivors in his remarks. While the King’s speech included a passage about supporting victims of societal ills—which some interpreted as a nod to the Epstein survivors—it did not explicitly reference them.

Khanna called the King "out of touch," arguing that the monarchy appears disconnected from modern values. He pointed specifically to the ongoing British investigation into Prince Andrew’s links to Epstein as a reason the King should have been more direct.

Ambassador’s Role Under Scrutiny

Khanna also criticized Ambassador Turner for misrepresenting the likelihood that the King would mention the survivors. Turner reportedly said he believed language would be included but did not make an ironclad commitment.

The controversy highlights growing tension between U.S. lawmakers and the British royal family over the handling of the Epstein scandal and its fallout.
