Rebel Wolves Reveals The Blood of Dawnwalker Release Date and Demanding PC Specs

The studio, founded by former CD Projekt Red developers, has set a September 3 launch date—and the system requirements are raising eyebrows.

Rebel Wolves has officially announced the release date for its upcoming title, The Blood of Dawnwalker. The game is set to launch on September 3, and alongside the date, the studio published the full PC system requirements.

The hardware chart outlines a steep climb in performance needs, from baseline 1080p gaming to maximum fidelity at 4K.

Minimum vs. Maximum: A Wide Gap

  • Minimum settings (1080p at 30fps): Requires an RTX 3050 or GTX 1070.
  • Maximum settings (4K at 60fps): Requires an RTX 5090.

The RTX 5090, which launched in January 2026 with a suggested retail price of $1,999, currently sells for approximately $3,699 on Newegg. This price point places the highest tier of performance out of reach for most gamers.

Native Rendering and Upscaling

The maximum settings tier targets native 4K resolution without DLSS or FSR. The developer notes that enabling upscaling technology may significantly reduce the GPU load, potentially allowing high-end cards to achieve smoother performance.

Optimization Questions Remain

It is currently unclear whether the high requirements are due to optimization issues or the game's inherent demands.

The studio has not clarified whether the steep hardware curve reflects a final optimization pass or the raw graphical fidelity of the title itself.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled for release on September 3.
