Perplexity’s Comet Browser for iPad Now Supports Multitasking

The update brings full integration with iPadOS features, including multiple windows and Split View.

Perplexity has released an update for its Comet web browser on iPad, adding support for iPadOS multitasking features such as multiple windows and Split View. The update is now available on the App Store.

Comet, which combines web browsing with an AI chatbot, initially launched on Mac and later on iPhone in March. The iPad version previously offered basic support but now includes features for working alongside other apps.

Separately, Perplexity launched its agentic assistant feature called "Personal Computer" on the Mac this month.

Key Highlights:

  • Multitasking upgrades allow Comet to run in Split View and multiple windows on iPad.
  • Cross-platform availability — now on Mac, iPhone, and fully featured on iPad.
  • New AI assistant — "Personal Computer" debuted on Mac in April 2025.
