Danny Casey has acquired three inline-6 cylinder Mercury "Tower of Power" outboard motors.
The collection includes a 1977 150 hp Merc 1500 and two later 115 hp models from circa 1984 and 1987.
The 1977 model is notable for retaining the 1976 blue/red/silver graphics, which was an unusual choice for Mercury at the time. The motor features an external bolt-on power trim kit with a remote hydraulic pump. An owner's pack and a pink fold-out maintenance booklet for the power trim system were also included.
Casey highlights the historical significance of these motors from the era of horsepower competition in outboarding.
