Zayn Malik Cancels U.S. Tour Dates Following Hospitalization
Zayn Malik, the former One Direction star, has canceled all U.S. dates for his 2026 tour supporting his album Konnakol, which was released on April 17. The decision follows his hospitalization in March 2026 for an unspecified illness.
"I have been recovering at home and decided to reduce the number of shows," Malik stated on Instagram, apologizing to fans and expressing hope to see them in the future.
While the U.S. leg has been scrapped, UK and Mexico dates scheduled before the U.S. tour remain on sale. However, specific shows in Dublin and Birmingham, UK, were also canceled.
Ticket Sales and Fan Response
Ticket sales for the now-canceled U.S. tour were reportedly low, according to Ticketmaster seating maps. Malik previously canceled an album listening event on April 13 due to his hospitalization.
Family Asks for Donations, Not Flowers
In an unusual request, Malik's family asked supporters to stop sending flowers and instead donate to the Palestine Project, as a local florist was reportedly overwhelmed by the volume of deliveries.
- A cousin clarified that this request was unrelated to Malik's hospitalization, but was instead made for a Ramadan fundraiser.
The family's statement serves as a reminder to fans that while support is appreciated, creative and charitable gestures can have a greater impact.
