Man Critically Injured in Stabbing at Merrigum Caravan Park

A 30-year-old man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed during a brawl at a caravan park in Merrigum, Victoria, about 3:45 am today.

Police responded to reports of a brawl involving knives at the caravan park. Upon arrival, they found several people believed to be alcohol-affected walking through the park and a critically injured man inside a cabin.

Two men were arrested nearby: a 28-year-old from Cootamundra, New South Wales, and a 51-year-old from Merrigum. A knife was seized at the scene.

Detectives from the Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit will interview the suspects.
