The Prince and Princess of Wales released a new photo and video of Princess Charlotte on her 11th birthday, May 2, 2025. The photo shows Charlotte smiling in a sunny field, wearing a black and red striped jumper and blue jeans. It was taken by photographer Matt Porteous during the family's Easter break in Cornwall.
The video, also from the Easter holiday, includes footage of Charlotte bowling a cricket ball, patting the family's dogs Orla and Otto, and writing a message in the sand with white shells. Kensington Palace shared the media on social media with a message thanking well-wishers for birthday messages.
Background
Princess Charlotte was born at 8:43 AM on May 2, 2015, at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. She is the third child and only daughter of Prince William and Catherine, and is third in line to the throne after her father and older brother Prince George.
Charlotte was last seen in public at the Royal Family's Easter Sunday church service in Windsor, where she was smiling and waving. The Wales family also recently celebrated the first birthday of their dog Otto on May 1, sharing a photo of the spaniel in a grassy field in Cornwall.
