Thinner crowds and shorter lines marked this year's Berkshire Bazaar of Bargains, a shift from the bustling atmosphere of previous years.
Berkshire Bazaar Sees Quieter Crowds, Leadership Shift
The annual 'Berkshire Bazaar of Bargains' shopping event, held at CHI Health Center Omaha in conjunction with Berkshire Hathaway's annual meeting, featured thinner crowds and shorter lines compared to previous years. The 20,000-square-foot hall displayed merchandise from dozens of Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries, including Brooks Sports and See's Candies.
Warren Buffett, the 95-year-old chairman who has historically led the event's Q&A session, is no longer expected to be the primary figure at the marquee session. Instead, Greg Abel, who became CEO at the start of 2026, took a more prominent role. Abel visited every booth in the hall, greeting employees and shareholders.
