Olivia Rodrigo recently took the stage as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. During her monologue, she looked back at her Disney Channel days on the show Bizaardvark, which also featured internet personality Jake Paul.
Rodrigo compared their career ambitions: she wanted to explore teenage complexities in her music, while Paul wanted to "beat up old guys on Netflix."
Jake Paul later responded on social media, acknowledging their shared early drive. He stated they both "had the vision" and that he had predicted Rodrigo would one day sell out stadiums. He expressed pride in her massive success.
Paul also addressed a commenter who suggested Rodrigo was laughing at him, not with him. He clarified that he understood the joke and that it did not affect his admiration for her.
To cap off the exchange, Paul posted a throwback photo of the two on Instagram with a simple, nostalgic caption: "Ah the good ole days."
