Woman Charged After 10-Year-Old Girl Found in Critical Condition

A 40-year-old woman has been charged with three counts of failing to supply necessaries and one count of torture following an investigation into the neglect of a 10-year-old girl.
Incident
The girl was admitted to the Queensland Children's Hospital suffering from dehydration, critical malnutrition, and significant untreated injuries. She remains in intensive care in a stable condition.
Investigation
Police were notified and declared the child's home in Logan Reserve a crime scene.
Court Appearance
The woman is scheduled to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
