A 60-year-old woman died following a head-on traffic collision in Woodford, north of Brisbane, on Tuesday morning. A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

Emergency services responded to a collision at the intersection of Archer Street and Victoria Lane in Woodford at approximately 6:10 AM. The crash involved a white Isuzu D-Max utility and an orange Toyota Corolla.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 60-year-old woman from Caboolture South, was assessed by paramedics in a life-threatening condition and died at the scene.
Vehicles Involved
- Stolen Vehicle: The white Isuzu D-Max utility had been reported stolen from an address on McLoughlin Road in Morayfield at approximately 3:45 AM, according to Queensland Police.
- Victim's Vehicle: The orange Toyota Corolla was being driven by the deceased woman at the time of the collision.
Arrest and School Lockdown
The driver of the stolen utility fled the crash scene on foot. He was located by police at a nearby educational facility and taken into custody at approximately 8:30 AM.
During the search, Woodford State School was placed into a temporary lockdown due to reports of a suspected intruder on school grounds. The lockdown was lifted at 9:10 AM.
The 31-year-old man is cooperating with police and assisting with enquiries.
Investigation
The Caboolture Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the crash. Motorists are advised that the D'Aguilar Highway is closed in both directions south of Margaret Street in Woodford, with diversions via Archer Street Service Road.
Police are seeking any witnesses or individuals with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
