View source

Raja Jackson, the 26-year-old son of former UFC champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, has pleaded no contest to one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury.

The charges stem from a brutal, unscripted assault on professional wrestler Syko Stu (Stuart Smith) during a Knockx show in Los Angeles in August 2025.

The Incident

Video evidence from the event shows Jackson slamming Smith to the ground and striking him more than 20 times. The attack continued even after Smith appeared to be unconscious.

Injuries Sustained

Smith suffered severe facial trauma as a result of the assault, including:

  • Upper and lower jaw trauma
  • A lacerated upper lip
  • A fractured maxilla bone
  • Loss of several teeth

He was subsequently hospitalized for several days in intensive care.

The Plea

On December 10, 2025, Jackson entered a plea of no contest to felony battery with serious bodily injury. He also admitted to special allegations of personal infliction of great bodily injury and engaging in violent conduct.

Sentencing

Sentencing is scheduled for June 22. The district attorney has recommended the following:

  • 90 days in county jail
  • Restitution in the amount of $81,703.38
  • Two years of formal probation

Background

The assault was preceded by a minor altercation. Smith had earlier struck Jackson with a beer can, reportedly thinking he was another wrestler. Smith apologized, and the two shook hands. Jackson later stated he would exact revenge before carrying out the unscripted, violent attack captured on video.
