Unlimited Ultimate Gets a Price Hike — and New Perks
On May 7, Verizon raised the price of its Unlimited Ultimate plan by $5 per month for new customers. Existing subscribers are unaffected by the change.
What’s New?Verizon has added two services to the plan: Verizon Family Plus and Identity Secure. These features typically cost $15 per month combined, meaning the carrier now offers what it calls "an additional $15 in monthly value for $5."
Customers cannot opt out of the new services — they are now bundled into the plan.
New Pricing BreakdownThe updated monthly rates for new Unlimited Ultimate customers are:
- 1 line: $85
- 2 lines: $77.50/line
- 3 lines: $63.33/line
- 4 lines: $55/line
Verizon introduced Unlimited Ultimate a year ago with a 3-year price lock guarantee. The fine print specifies that the lock applies only to the rate at sign-up, so only new customers are affected by this increase.
Other Plans UnchangedVerizon's other unlimited plans — Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Welcome — remain unchanged.
